I’m sure you must have seen the Earth Day doodle on google. So what is Earth Day? It is an annual event celebrated on April 22 to mark the need for the conservation of this planet. You cannot take the planet Earth for granted. Things could soon run out of hand. Earth Day was started recently in 1970 as a way to draw people’s attention to environmental issues. This in a way has been successful in creating awareness and many bills have been passed in the US as a result of this day. In this article, we will look at the 10 ways kids can celebrate by doing some meaningful activities.

Be grateful to GOD for these beutiful creations!

Make a flower garden

Flowers are very soothing to our eyes and they also help in other nature-related activities like honey formation, pollination, fruit formation, etc. You can grow flowers in your garden if you have one, or else you can create your own using an old bottle or an old shoe or boot. Butterfly garden

You can visit a local butterfly garden or make your own. Having a butterfly garden is not difficult but you have to be careful with the maintenance. Take a virtual holiday

Maybe because of the pandemic you are a bit hesitant to step out, no issues! You might think of a virtual option. You can watch good documentaries about nature conservation, watch wildlife-related movies, and even take a virtual family tour to the great barrier reefs.


Participate in local conservation groups

Nowadays there’s a lot of activity around Earth day. You can participate in one of those groups whose agenda matches yours. There are various groups who specialize in different activities like cleaning the streets, cleaning the rivers, sanitation, protecting the tress, legal support to environmental issues, etc.


Visit a zoo

Maybe you live in a big city and you could not do the above-mentioned activities, then the best thing to do is to find a zoo in your city. This is a good place to enjoy your day on an Earth day.
