Subtraction can become tricky if the number you are “subtracting from” is less than the number “that is subtracted”. This is encountered frequently in multi-digit numbers while using the column method of subtraction. In these cases, we usually use a method known as regrouping. What is regrouping? Regrouping involves borrowing 10 from the neighboring number in the ten’s place to the unit digit number.
